Artist Statement
“I love where I live”
My primary concern as a practitioner is about capturing and documenting Nature by focusing on its beauty
and strength, which has so many expressive forms and patterns. Santiniketan brought me closer to the
beauty of nature, where I observed different seasons, each having its own special characteristics. I
experienced the melancholic nature of Autumn and the colourful blossoms of spring for the first time here
in Santiniketan.
The dusky landscape of Santiniketan in the dawn and the twilight reminds me the poem of William
Wordsworth. The provocation to create something comes from some distant memories. For me the
provocation is similar to some extent. I place myself as a practitioner who document the beauty, the
transformation, the peace of natural happenings. Eventually, I want to generate an archive of multiple
phases of nature.
I look for the signs that can contribute to my search for beauty in and at the outskirt of Santiniketan.
