Artist Statement
My works are an outcome of my experiments with familiar materials that has societal connections. As my location changes my materials change and so does the information I absorb from those materials. My works are individual, each subject is different but the pattern and style has maintained. Recently, I have been working with the visual aspect of ‘Coal’, I am in the process of experimenting with coal and visually depicting ‘mining’. I have also been exploring my identity and coal’s own identity as I grew up in places near coal mines
