Beginings : >> He was studied at Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta and graduated from Govt. Institute of Arts, Dhaka, formerly Principal of ICAD, Calcutta. He was marked out as one of the best among his generation of painters in Calcutta. He received AFA Award (1963), Rabindra Bharati University Award (1995), Calcutta. His works are exhibited at India and abroad - Paris, Munich and London. His work is in collections at NGMA, New Delhi; Gaganendra Art Gallery, West Bengal; Jane and Kits de Boer, Dubai.
